Where can I find facts on the quality of German industry?

I'm helping someone research an article that references the quality of German-engineered goods, and I'm having a hard time narrowing it down to specific examples. Does anyone have a place where I can go to find good information about the overall quality of companies in Germany and their products? For example, Steinway makes some of the best pianos in the world, Porsche ranks consistently among the highest reliability in J.D. Power rankings, etc.
