Bond Issue Melbourne, Australia. Can we get our money back, what can we do?

My partner and I have been renting a room off a girl in Melbourne - whilst living with her. We paid her a $1300 bond and when we left (Friday 8th April) after having to go home due to my father getting ill in the UK, she supposedly sent us our bond and an email receipt of this transactio with 'bond' docmented. However, we still have yet to receive the monies of $1395, which included her buying our bed and fan and lamp also. We have spoken to the bank and they have assured us that no money was sent from her account to our account as this email receipt was sent before she pressed confirm. We have sent her many emails and we have had one reply on Friday afternoon saying sorry and she would sort this. Although after phoning her today she is now saying that the money has left her account and that she will need to wait for it to be returned, which is not what we have been told via email from the bank. We have also just found out that the people who lived there 3 months before us have also not received there bond either and she sent them the same false confirmation email. I need to know where we stand, can we take her to court? We had no contract and no receipt for payment of bond but we don have emails documenting that she knows that she owes this money for the bond.
