The company I'm working for is given the half+ of us the option to voluntarily quit with all the benefits...?

I've been laid off by a major corporation (with a few hundred others) and watched a few layoffs as well-take the buy-out package before they just lay people off without a cent. A few companies can recover from big layoffs, but not many, and they often continue the layoffs-with less and less bennies.
