Why should i move when i have a yearly lease and my rent is current?

my rent is current and he requesting i move because i did not pay my rent which is 500.00 dollars but yet he is asking for 1,400 dollars in rent so what is it 500.00 or 1,400 dollars i have a yearly lease which is signed by his wife and should i be reimbursed for all the monies i put in the property i paid even when the house was in default and i never stop paying.
